Lyrics for The Last of a Dying Breed CD

1. Impaired

Impaired. Believe it or not, everyone is prejudice to a certain degree. There is no one that has not judged, or has not been judged. Social status is based on a number of aspects from skin color, religion, job titles, down to the clothes we wear and the music we listen to. Judgment is a basis for conflict. I based this song particularly on parents who stereotype other people's kids while praising their own, believing that their little angels can do no wrong. I've found that the majority of the time it is the other way around. Teenage years are a critical time in people's lives when they find themselves, and what they will grow to be. It is a time when judgment of character thrives. Being a teen that wore black and listened to metal music, I had to deal with that prejudice, and still do today. People feel threatened by what is different or unknown, and are quick to jump to conclusions. So before you judge someone else, judge yourself and the ones you are associated with, for we all have impurities.

The youth of today falls victim to plague
Judged by parent of stereotypical ways
A bond of trust haunted by misunderstanding
Sugarcoat the dirt, make it seem that it's worth
Something more than the skirt that your slut daughter is wearing
Preparing to suck me, and your fucking god

She is the queen of everything
When your back is turned it's unseen
You must be blinded by the gleam of the halo she's wearing
She's wearing!

When will all the madness end? (4X)

Consider your son the prodigal one
He can do no wrong, at least that's what you believe in
The thought's so intriguing
Little did you know a fork in the road
Decisions were made that destroyed all morals you sowed
Under the rug, he swept the broken pieces

Hide them away so you don't see
The truth that lies beneath your feet
The trust conceived is diseased
If only you weren't too blind to see

When will all the madness end? (4X)

This is wrong
I will not be your intended victim
It is your blood; it is your son
It was your semen that created the demon

I lived through this over the years; you point your finger still I shed no tears
Assume that I will amount to nothing, left to suffer the consequences
But I've seen it all through thick and thin
And through it all what I've learned is this
Your persistent accusations won't faze me during my duration

I've seen it all before, and I know that your
Judgments impaired, felt through cold glares
Judgments impaired, felt through cold glares

Constantly engaging, defacing truth
Harbor the sickness that's inside of you
Waging, and spreading creating a tension
Before you judge me know your own kids intentions

You are the one that infects our youth
Goddamn soccer mom

2. Tragedy in the Making

Tragedy in the Making reflects the beliefs that are installed in all of us, that it's a dog eat dog world where if you don't fall in line with the rest of society, you are left behind. Sad but true, the world we live in today revolves around the almighty dollar. Money is the lifeline to almost everything. Money drives industry, which pollutes our planet, and destroys natural habitat. Supply and demand only grows resulting in more neglect to Mother Earth. Though I am one, the majority of Americans make me sick. All we think about is ourselves, failing to praise what we have, and quick to complain on what we don't. Greed can be a very dangerous thing. People are cheated, robbed, even killed over possession. There is nothing wrong with wanting, just be aware of cause and effect. The choice is in our hands. We are the deciding factor. Realize that life is not all about material things, but how you can contribute to a better cause. Live with that state of mind and we will all benefit ten fold.

What is going on these days?
It seems as if we've lost the way
Chosen the path that seems most complicated
Fallen into disarray
As if we have no knowledge of what's right or wrong
We carry on telling ourselves it will be okay

Why can't we see exactly what it is we're doing?
Are we to blind to realize?
You decide

Honestly I must confess
I do possess a wickedness
I am in no position to be preaching
The more you have the more complex
The more your life will end up stressed
So why does everyone seem to be so fucking greedy

Why can't we see exactly what it is we're doing?
Are we to blind to realize?
In the end I don't want to be stuck with only those things
I can't take with me to the other side

I can see dreams bleeding
Cover the scene with a facade of make-believe
I've witnessed fallen kings
A tragedy in the making

We're falling apart, crawling upon a plateau of reckoning
Come so far to start descending
It's all falling apart; falling apart, it all falls

I know what is sacred
I know what we are
Have seemed to misplace everything we've been taught
Ignore all the lines that have been crossed
Now how is this sacred?

I know what is sacred
I know what we are
Have seemed to misplace everything we've been taught
Ignore all the lines that have been crossed
Now how are we sacred?

I have been here all along
Seen us fall from the start

Falling down again
I only live to see us dying
Falling on broken knees
We are descending now

3. Divulge

DIVULGE reveals the bloody side of warfare, the one that is not watered down by the media. It unmasks our trigger-happy leaders who are quick to deploy the expendable. If you listen, I will tell you about military engagements that see no hopeful resolutions, yet still continue. Unfortunately, I've seen this several times and I've only been around for a little over a score. Personally I like to think before I act. It tends to result in an all around better outcome. Apparently this is not a prerequisite of entering politics. I didn't write divulge to bitch about war or military power, but to make known my disgust for those who misuse it.

Enlighten logical thinking
Open the pureness inside
Deviation is the key
To revert the hands of time

Turn back, confidential leaking
Falling into blasphemy
Misleading, drowning ambition
Left to fall into shards of glass
Interlocked ignorant minds inflicting
Putting the world on trial
Interrogate the weak that's considered the wicked
Invade them with your rank and file

Sent to
Break it, suffocate it, burn it all away
Can't let them live to see another day
Consume, overthrowing, soon to lay waste
Feed the fire of the human way
Destroy, ruin, annihilate
The Apocalypse is upon us today

This so called fight for freedom
Seems to have lost the way

Insist that there's no one to blame
Give credence
There's no other way

Injustice is appealing to minds that are bleak
Believe in, there's no other way

This is suicide, suicide

Enlighten logical thinking; open the pureness inside
Deviation is the key to revert the hands of time

4. Fall to Ruins

Fall to Ruins is about the demise of leadership when it is abused. It's a story about poverty stricken people conforming in the masses to overthrow their corrupted king, making him pay for everything he has done to them. Fall to Ruins is the built up anguish of stricken people. Anguish that turns to hatred. Hatred that drives the vengeful mind. Vengeance that sends the corrupt to the depths of a dark eternity.

Twisting, and turning
Through the shambles
Piecing together all that you left
Screaming, and crying, your conformist rambles
Ignoring all the pain that you dealt
Dreams are dying; hope is falling
Breaking apart one by one
Running from yourself and your calling
Realize that your life is done

Decomposing
Your kingdom has crumbled to nothing
Life slowly
Wasting away no longer controlling

It's over; I'm sober
Your manipulation I will no longer fall for

It's all falling apart
Today you stray into the grave

Would you give anything just to get it all back?
Yesterday only reflects what you had
Now nothing, no one, anyone can come to pull you out of the blood
That has poured from the souls you once claimed you loved

Decomposing
Your kingdom has crumbled to nothing
Life slowly
Wasting away no longer controlling
Down to nothing
Self infliction create the sore
Your reign now

Is over, I'm sober
Your manipulation I will no longer fall for

It's all falling apart
Today you stray into the grave

Down to hell you
Down to hell you
Down to hell you
Eternally rot away

5. Too Many Times

Too Many Times is about breaking away from any cripple that may haunt someone. Finding the strength to realize when something is not right and actually doing something about it. I've seen so many people who allow themselves to be walked on. Maybe they feel that it is for a better cause. I feel that if something is not one hundred percent, it is nothing but a lost cause. So many people hold on to a false happiness. Starting a new chapter in ones life is not always a smooth transition, but hopefully this song will inspire people to stand up for themselves. I hope it will give them the strength to take back what they feel has been stolen, manipulated or disrespected. No one should have to put up with these factors. So don't take the abuse. Stand up for yourself. Most of all, making yourself happy is what's really important.

You always found a way to get under my skin
Diabolical assault, and insult
You drive the poison splinter in me
I'm willing to kill myself to expel you from my system
Your system's a cancer that's eating away at my life
So let me speak my mind

Face it
You always got what you wanted; now I take it back
Erase it
You always got what you wanted; now I take it back
Frustrated
I always did what you wanted; now I take it back
So taste it
You always got what you wanted; now I take it back

Too many times
I cried; I died
I lie in your chains of deception that tie around me so tight I can barely breathe
Now set me free

I suffered for so long
Your accusations are unsubstantial forevermore
Now I will settle the score
That's been eating away at my life
Now let me speak my mind

Face it
You always got what you wanted; now I take it back
Erase it
You always got what you wanted; now I take it back
Frustrated
I always did what you wanted; now I take it back
So taste it
I always did what you wanted; now I fuck you back

You're incapable to cherish the things that you hold
Sacred as the scars that I own
If you would focus then you would see the entire picture

I lost focus, got off track
I take it back to the point when I had a perception
Lived in fear thinking that my vision would be distorted forever
But now I'm back, stronger than ever
My endeavor to sever any recollection of what it was
Because now this is non-existent
